Dansk Sausage Muffler for sale.

I just got my Dansk sausage exhaust in the mail and tried to get a shop to install it- the only exhaust shop in my area said "no way." They, like everyone else in the area will not work on Porsche. This is the link from the guy I bought it from with pictures:

It is in truly great shape with no blemishes. The muffler shop did not believe me that it was even slightly used.

Make me an offer. Please be reasonable.

I just installed the same exhaust a few weeks ago, although mine was the twin tip version. The install was pretty simple. The hardest part was removing the stock exhaust as the bolts were pretty tough to loosen up. I have no mechanical experience so if I can do it I am sure any regular shop can manage to do it in 1-2 hours time.

I think Its worth looking to find someone to install it for you as the exhaust rocks.

The problem was the top bolts, how did you get them loose? He tried pneumatic sockets that curved and bent and still could not get up there to realease them. Did you remove the bumper?

The bumper and the spolier will have to be removed, After that the bolts are right there. No trouble getting them out with a socket driver.

To remove the bumper and spoiler, do I need the bently manual or is it just the few visible bolts that you can see from under the car?

I think I will keep it and give it a try if it is something I can do myself. Installer would not remove the bumper.

Remove the rear bumper, it CAN be done without....but is a ROYAL PITA. Removing the bumper isnt that bad and will make the exhaust install a joke.

Jackhoff,
No I did not follow any manual. Just take off the spolier by pressing the center plastic rods and the spolier will come off, Careful not to lose the small plastic toothpick size rod. The bumperettes must come off and the lisence plate as well. Put the bumper down in the grass careful not to scratch it.
You may need to take the wheels off if you dont have a small enough tool to fit.

After that take off all bolts that hold on the bumper. Then remove he clamps on the pipes, and the two top bolts. and it will fall off.
Very easy- maybe 1.5 hours.

Took me about 3-4 hours

It can be done without taking the bumper off as I managed, but I think it would have been much quicker if I had taken it off first. Its a very tight fit and kind of awkward on your back. The bolts are pretty tight and all with all the grime and rust but doable if you're persistent like me.

Good luck!
