Front license plate mounting
My 987.1 had holes drilled in the front bumper cover for a license plate. They were slightly cracked and oversized when I got the car. So I drilled new holes so I could mount a bracket that would cover the old ones, and now they are wearing out. Is there a recommendation for a "nutsert" type product that I can install in the current location that won't further expand and/or crack the holes?
The only other option I have come up with is to get color matched plugs for the holes and use a tow hook mounting point bracket. But I don't really care for the off-center look of that. Other ideas? TIA |
Hmmm....yeah mine wore out and fell off and I never put the thing back on. Just plugged up the holes and been going plateless

Maybe something like this: https://www.mcmaster.com/rivets/rivet-nuts/rivet-nuts-for-plastic-and-composites/
You could epoxy them in place if need be. jD |
