'02 rear window - repair kit ? Detailing suggestions

I have a spot on the on the side of vinyl window that's rough and may have a few pin holes in one area May have been the cable with screw that had worked it's way off that
rubbed on top when closed didn't see it before buying - wondering if the indy shop exacerbated this when working on it ?

I was going to find a product to polish ? But I'd like to put something on the area to keep any possible water entry .

saw a product called Cabrio Doc - It's from Germany - any other ideas ?

any other detailing tips & products are very welcome
