A year and a half since I posted in this thread... have I been doing nothing? I did sell my spare engine that is discussed above. I guy drove from Nova Scotia to here in Quebec to pick it up. It is now installed in his Boxster and he is quite happy.
Still haven't sold my 2000 base, I am going to have to accept that the market is not at a point where I will be able to sell at the price I had hoped for.
